Big News!!!!!!

Mr. Mike has officially lost his first tooth!!!!!!!! I can hardly believe it! He's getting soooooooo big!Needless to say he is super excited about it and wants to save it for Daddy to see. Hmmmmm, I wonder what the tooth fairy will do about that?

A couple days ago we had dinner at BK and let the kids play inside on the play scape thing. They love it, and lets be honest....I love that they love it! Here's some pictures from fun at Burger King.

I Heart Faces-Hilarious Out-takes

Mikey with his too big star wars boxers hiked up out of his jeans and ...isnt that face LOVELY? Ha. It makes me crack up! This was taken just this past December on our trip to Florida.

I was totally trying to get a cool shot of my guys....and it was working (look and how nice Michael and Zach look) until Mr. Mikey decided....well, I have NO IDEA what was happening there. LOL!

This was the big Z last summer. He was 3 and riding his bike down our pretty steep driveway. He got going fast and once he got close to the bottom, he tipped over so he didnt crash. Instead of picking up his bike and moving on, he um, decided to pick.....something else!

Ice Cream and Expolration

We have all had cabin fever bad for it seems like the last month. Its been gray and freezing out......Well today was it! It was still freeezing out (20 degrees) but the sun was shining, so off we went. My mom treated us to a DQ cherry-dipped ice cream.....mmmmmmm! As the pretty princess lay sleeping in her carseat, the Big Z chowed down! Proof:

After we were done eating, we went exploring. Exploring , in our family, is where we set off to find new and cool things. It could be a drive through an unknown area (like today) or hiking through the woods. Im soooo glad we went driving today because LOOK what we were near! Soooo AWESOME!!

I Heart Faces--Hands

When I read about this week's theme of "Hands On" I instantly flashed back to the Deployment photo shoot I did with The Castillo Family. As a fellow Army Wife who has survived two deployments myself, I completly connected with Elsa.(the wife) This would be her first ever deployment with her husband going to Afganastan.

I remember so clearly when my husband was the one shipping off to Iraq back in 2006. I was soo worried and sad and afraid I would never see him again.......

During this shoot, all I kept thinking in my heart was that I wanted to capture pictures that would make her feel close to her husband even though he was so far away.

When I see this picture, I see and feel so many things. The thing I love the most about this photo is that it basically sums up Military life in general.....

His ring symbloizes his wife, children and family.....everything "home". His hand resting against his ACU's with his M-16 by his side, to me, clearly shows the merging of the two completly different yet intertwining worlds.

While my hub was away and I didn't get to talk to him, I would always look at my wedding rings and it gave me great comfort and a sense of closeness to him, even so far away.

I'm sure Elsa will be doing the same........

The only edit that I did to this photo was sharpened it to bring out the creases in his hands.

They are the hands of the proud. The Serving and The Fallen. They are the hands of newbies and officers alike. They are the hands of America and the hands of hard work.

I am filled with such emotion right now. Chills up and down my arms and tears in my eyes!

What To Do What To DO.....

So I know my hubby will be reading this and is probably going to say NO, but I am contimplating on cutting my hair beofre I go to Germany. I totally need bangs, but Im leaning more toward side bangs rather then full on ones. Here's some choices.......
