Places To Go, People To See----

Ive been like a crazy addicted fool to google lately. Yup, that's right. it's my new best friend!!!! Ive been hunting for great places to go when we finally get to Germany.....so, I'm going to share just because I'm sooo excited!

Here we go!

ULM
The Gothic Minster with its gigantic west steeple is the dominating feature in the centre of Ulm. The town's most famous landmark, it is also known far and wide for having the tallest church tower in the world. The world's tallest steeple .The building of Ulm Minster was originally financed entirely by the people of the town. It is the second-largest Gothic church in Germany after Cologne Cathedral, and in the Middle Ages this monumental place of worship used to accommodate more than 20,000 church-goers. Its enormous west steeple, the tallest in the world, rises an impressive 161 metres into the sky. It was added to the basilica in 1890, after a long period without further building, making the church famous around the world. If the weather is fine, you can see as far as the Alps from its observation platform.
Ulm is also the birthplace of Albert Einstein.
Dachau Prison Camp( Munich)
This was the first concentration camp built. Dachau was the prototype for all of the concentration camps. Initially Dachau was used to imprision anyone who dissented with the Nazi’s. Then it was also used to inter anyone that the Nazi’s felt was not acceptable to their way of life, like homosexuals and people of other ethnic origins. The most widely known of these groups are the Jews, but the Jews were not the only minority group that the Nazi’s chose to exterminate.

Neuschwanstein Castle(Fusson)

The Neuschwanstein Castle is one most visited castles in Germany and one of the most popular tourist destination in Europe.
The castle is located in Bavaria, near the town of Fussen. It was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, also known as the “Fairytale King”.

Bamberg

Romantic Road(Bavaria)

A Trade Route During The Middle Ages, Germany's Romantic Road Still Retains Much Of Its Medieval Character. The Road Often Winds Through Forgotten Sections Of Countryside, Connecting Walled Towns And Picturesque Villages. Travelers May Enter A Town Through An Arched Gateway Complete With Guard Towers. Inside, You Will Find Gothic Cathedrals, Half-Timbered Fachwerk Houses, Beautiful Historic Hotels And Often A Medieval Festival. Fairytale Castles And The Alps Complete The Charm

There is sooooo much more I have listed but that will be for another post!!!
