As soon as I read that I Heart Faces had expanded their "pets only" challenge into an "all animal" challenge, I knew I had the. perfect. photo!!! I of course had the normal array of cat and dog photos, but figured I'd go with this one because it is "outside the box" so to speak.
I took this photo when we went down to Florida on vacation back in December 2009. We were sitting on the beach (in the mom mobile) eating McDonalds. As I was eating, one seagull would come close to the van and look at me with those "please give me some food." eyes. One. Then two. The ten. LOL! I got the genius idea of holding a french fry in my fingers and seeing if they would take it out of my hand......Well, the answer is Yes, Yes, YES!!!!
As soon as I saw that it worked, I grabbed my camera (my trusty standby, Kodak Easyshare point and shoot, in pink thankyouverymuch!) and whith one hand holding up the fry and the other on my shutter button, I grabbed this picture!
It's my hubbys favorite also!

That is a great photo. Love that blue sky! The same thing happened to my little sister when she was about 5. She didn't do it on purpose though and the home video of it is pretty dang hilarious!

This is by far one of the coolest pics I've seen in a while! Amazing how you got their faces in the shot. colors are awesome and it almost looks like an HDR image.
